Rainy Days

I have to admit I used to love the rain. It was nice back in the day when you didn't have to do much in it but go to work and then just relax listening to it. Hauling around three kids in the rain is definitely another story! Especially when they are three little boys who have to measure the depth of every puddle they see! Rain is also so scarce here that I have almost become afraid to drive in it! Despite the gloomy weather we've managed to still have a little fun and relax; jazzercise is great rain or shine, one day we went to McDonalds to the indoor play land (I know there has to be better places around here but it was a fun quick trip while Devan was in school), we had play dates with a few friends and lots of hangin' out. This afternoon the boys were in the dining room building a fort. Well, at least that's what they were supposed to be doing. The fort lasted for a little while and then this is what I noticed:

Can you you guess what they are up to?

This is how Greyson was getting up.

Greyson apparently has no fear of jumping off my kitchen table!

Yesterday I went to a baby shower and my friend that had been watching the boys was so kind to let me trash her living room floor and make another cake. I threw this one together really fast, couldn't remember if she was having a boy or girl, and figured it being February the chocolate theme was appropriate. And what expectant mother doesn't enjoy a little chocolate?

Coco has been sick the last couple days, poor little guy (that would be Coleson. Greyson can't pronounce his name yet so calls him Coco. It's so cute! We call Greyson Gus Gus. Just watch Cindarella and you'll understand). He's doing a lot better today. I would say that eating like you had 6 stomachs, fighting with your brothers and running all over the place is a sure sign of improved health! Now we'll just have to see what kind of weather we get the next couple days...

Family Fun!

I have the cutest kids! I just wanted you all to know that! These past few weeks have been a lot of fun. We have been really busy and the kids have been pretty good. Pretty good as in, no laundry soap spills, only a few broken eggs, bathrooms have stayed halfway decent, Greyson's bowel movements have only been muraled on the wall once, and we even spent 18 hours in the car! I've been swapping kids a couple days a week with one of my friends so that has helped the kids stay happy and helped mom stay happy and get some stuff done!
Last week we went up to my parents for Timmy's wedding. I know you're older now, little bro, but you'll always be Timmy to me. I won't bother posting any pictures because not only did I not take any (well I took about 600 but all from their "friends" cameras), he's got a thousand of them posted on his facebook. We're excited to have Janae in our family- hope she knows what she has gotten herself into! Congrats you two love birds! When we left for the wedding we were expecting somewhat cooler weather than we had been having here but instead it rained every day we were there. I felt bad that the boys had to sit in the car so long only to be cooped up in the house for five days. But it was Grandma and Grandpa's and they had a blast regardless! My brother Matt and his daughter came up Friday night. For the next two days we didn't see much of the kids. We definitely heard them, but they were usually in Becky's room playing on the bunk bed.

Today Tim had the day off so we went to visit Downtown Temecula. We actually had a really fun time. I say actually because I wasn't sure how antique shopping/browsing would be with three little boys who's little fingers have to touch EVERYTHING!!! Surprisingly they did really well. We then had lunch and went back and found a farmers market. The highlight there was the stand with all the pirate stuff. Devan got a huge flag for his room and the boys got new wallets. Then we made our way to the park and then a train shop. I have never seen a child get so excited about trains than Greyson. His eyes just light up and nothing else exists! The store owner had about four different trains running at once for the boys. Their favorite was the one that ran up near the ceiling. I have to admit I was even a little entertained by them.
So that's our last week and a half in a nutshell!

Coleson and Devan showing off their new wallets. I think Coleson's is hiding. And this is also what you get when you let an almost 4 and five year old dress themselves. Great colors!

Greyson thought he could jump from the top step then after contemplaiting he settled for the bottom.

Peanut Butter Minus the Jelly

I went downstairs to put away a load of folded laundry. This is what happened upstairs during my 4 minute absence...

Apparently Pinky Dinky Doo is more important than telling mom that Greyson has the jar of peanut butter.

This Weather Stinks!

Isn't this the time of year when you are supposed to be wearing pants, cute boots, sweaters, freezing your buns off, just laying around the house in a blanket watching movies and drinking hot chocolate? A little rain, some places a lot of rain, snow, jackets?! I thought so. Sadly we haven't been able to experience much of that yet. Last weekend it was 82, then 92, Monday was 80 something then today was finally a cooler day. It's still shorts and flip flops for us here. It does get a little colder at night. I realized tonight as I was complaining about how it doesn't feel like fall, at all, I do have some gratitude; we haven't had to turn our heater on yet. When we do, the bill increases almost $200 per month. So warm weather, I suppose you could stick around a little longer.

This is why I love my children...

This morning I was trying to get the boys out of my room. For some reason it's the "morning hangout." Usually I don't mind but I have too much PartyLite stuff unorganized and the last thing I need is them making more of a mess. As I am trying to get them out Devan finds a panty liner and asks if he can have it. Of course he doesn't know what it is, I figured, so sure, take it, just get out! I came up stairs and opened all the blinds and looked down to see what the boys were all chuckling at. Coleson had the panty liner stuck to him like a tail and they were laughing, "Pin the sticker on the butt." Can you tell they played pin the nose on the pumpkin for Halloween?

Pumpkin Time!

For family night we decided to carve pumpkins. We haven't made it to the pumpkin patch yet because our schedule is so crazy so we picked up a couple from Walmart this morning. Devan has an early day on Wednesday so we'll head to the patch then. But who wants to wait until the day before Halloween to carve their pumpkin?!
We had so much fun and I was surprised at how many times I heard, "Gross," "Ewe," "I don't want to touch the gooey stuff." Honestly? This coming from three little boys who have no problem sabotaging my kitchen with broken eggs, milk, mustard, anything gross or gooey they can find! In the end, they did help a lot and told me exactly what shapes to cut out. Devan was disappointed his didn't look angry enough. Sorry bud. Their favorite part was lighting a tealight inside. They were in such awe you'd think they had never seen a lit candle before. It was too funny. Greyson had fun playing in all the seeds and moosch. He decorated my dining room with all of it as well.
